What a great event!
The 32nd Annual Duluth Fall Festival was held the last weekend of September two weekends ago, and Howard Brothers was a major sponsor of the festival and was once again there in Man’s Corner serving the community. We felt that this year was one of our best displays and we had really good conversations with folks. Our team of Howard Brothers employees were easy to spot.
We were decked out in Safety Green T-shirts (yeah, they look yellow, but the official Gildan color name is safety green.)
One new addition to our display this year was one of our new 20 foot enclosed and wrapped trailers. It made a great backdrop for our area. It was also functional as customers could walk through and look at some of the power equipment that we brought.
We had the Big Green Eggs and Traeger Wood Pellet Smokers fired up. Smoke was in the air. Various samples of food were coming off the grill, and as quick as we could prepare it, it was being eaten.
And we had a Dewalt Power Tool Demo station and timed challenge. A lot of folks played with power tools.
Also, Walter Reeves was back at the festival this year. He was in Man’s Corner for 2 or 3 hours talking about gadgets and gizmos for your yard. We actually took note of a few of the items ourselves… possibly coming to our stores soon.
And of course, our truck was highly visible. We even made commemorative festival shirts this year with the truck on them.
We spoke to a lot of folks about the Honda Generators that were on display. Actually, we spoke to these folks over the near no noise of the super quiet Honda Generators. The new EU7000 is unbelievable how quiet it is.
It was stressful. It was labor intensive.
But we love it.
We love talking to old friends and making new friends.
We’re about relationships… not transactions.
Go find that passion at a Big Box. You won’t.
See you next year. We’re already committed to being back at Man’s Corner at the 33rd Duluth Fall Festival.
