We’ve had a lot of interest in the video that Doug Howard shot back in early summer about aeration and top dressing of a local bermuda grass lawn. People have been asking about the Exmark stand-on Aerator and the Tru-Cut Reel Mowers, but what do you do if you have a golf course to aerate and top dress?
Perhaps you could use a Ventrac Compact Tractor.
This video, which was produced by Ventrac, shows a the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Indiana. The course only shuts down twice a year, so that the maintenance team has a chance to get in and out quickly without doing damage to the course.
They normally use the compact tractor to perform rough cut of native tall fescue. They have safe slope operation with the tractor. They use the aerator attachments to aerate the fairways and greens. They have turbine blower attachments to clean up in areas quickly. They can attach the spreader to apply herbicides.
This is a great video that shows the versatility of the Ventrac for a series of very large scale projects. Let us know if you are interested in more information on the Ventrac Compact Tractors.
