Milwaukee Electric Tool Sub-Compact Rotary Hammer Drill

Milwaukee Electric Tool has been amazing us lately with the innovation of their power tools. Especially those tools that are being powered by there M12 Battery system and their REDLINK technology.

When we were on location at Milwaukee a couple months back, we were shown how their tool innovation is starting with what the user needs and they are focusing on very specific user verticals. This new tool that Milwaukee is introducing is a great example of what we took away from the tour.

“We continue to innovate in the rotary-hammer category to provide new solutions for our core users based on what they need to accomplish every day,” says Rick Gambaccini, group product manager with Milwaukee Tool. “This is the world’s first sub-compact rotary hammer for the professional trades, bringing users a cordless tool in what used to only be available in corded.”

Check out the video that ToolSelect.com created when they were on site in Milwaukee.

If you haven’t put your hands on one of the new Milwaukee M12 tools yet, you really need to get into one of our stores and do so.

Milwaukee starts with research and develops the tool for that need. They discovered that the majority of holes drilled in concrete are 1/2″ in diameter or smaller. You hear statistics like that and you have to go “duh.” So they decided that  the larger corded drills that were currently in the marketplace were overkill for the need. With the innovation in the Lithium-Ion Batteries, they can develop a tool that fits a very specific need and in fact works better than most other tools.

The sub-compact rotary hammer drill is expected to hit shelves in October 2012. We’ll be sure to have this tool in stock as a part of our growing large Milwaukee Electric Tool section.
