GREAT BASIC MOWER
After searching high and low for a push mower that was not self-propelled, made of plastic, or made by MTD, i found this Snapper. The mower is well built and constructed off a heavy duty deck (supposedly 14 gauge, but i could not confirm this on Snapper’s website). The baffle on the inside is bolted in and is stiff also. While this is not the quality of the Hi-Vac, it is not the price either. It comes with a solid B&S engine and all parts for the 3-in-1 mower, including the mulching, side-discharge, and bag. The handle is bolted in place and does not move around like on most other mowers this price.
Best of all, this mower does not have any additional gadgets, plastic molded cup holders on the handle, etc. there is a cosmetic piece of plastic across the front which is easily removed as it serves no discernible purpose. The only downfall to this mower, which is not fully expected at this price is the lack of solid wheel axles. Instead, the wheels are bolted on as on most mowers of this type at this price.
Overall, for the price, it was the best mower I found in this price range.
I’m not sure I could say it any better. This mower at standard price is an incredible deal for the right person. We sold these last spring for $329.99, but we need to move a couple off the floor now in preparation for fall equipment and next year’s models.
