It is September. In fact, to be more specific, it is September 2nd. I’m late posting this because of Labor Day yesterday. I find it ironic that on this date in 1789, the United States Department of the Treasury was established. I wonder if there is any relation to the fact that day was yesterday. I mean, I guess that Labor day is actually the first Monday in September, but I wonder if it was established in any way connected to the fact that the treasury department gets a big take of our labor…. On more serious notes, on 9/2/45 Japan surrendered in World War II (V-J Day)
Also in September is National Chicken Month.
And National Rice Month.
And National Potato Month.
Sounds like someone needs to come up with a recipe for the Big Green Egg that includes these three ingredients.
Well, the new month also means that we have a new group of items that are on sale from True Value. Here are the Bargains of the month!
20″ Gorilla Ladder Work Platform
This is a great deal. We often see the same items recycled from True Value, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen this item hit the bargains of the month rotation. This 20″ work platform has 225 pound work capacity. 20″ high platform that is 12.25″ wide by 41.25″ long.
Use this to help you get some painting done a little higher than normal or to reach higher and feel safe while doing it.
Regular price is $44.99, but it is $10 off this month for $34.99.
8pc Plastic Painters Tray Set
And the perfect item to get with that work platform would be an 8pc painters tray set. Paint set includes 2 roller frames, 4 roller covers, 1-1/2″ wood handle brush and a plastic paint tray. This normally sells for $14.99, but for the month it is $9.99. This is one of those deals that we know folks get even if they don’t have a painting project at the moment, because everyone needs these staple items when those projects come.
And if you do have a project that needs a splash of color… You really can’t beat the quality of True Value Paint. Trust us… you gotta try it.
